À propos de cette location de vacances
Our house and loft are for those seeking unique and more adventurous destinations; they’re for those who love hidden gems rather than the usual tourist traps; they’re for those who love secluded spots and want to disconnect from the everyday, and who want to explore new and different paths ;-)
It’s a brand-new house built in a modern style. It features excellent ventilation and fans, as well as mosquito-netted doors in the bedrooms; starting in November, air conditioning will also be available, and the house is very well equipped.
The road to the house is rustic, with gravel and stones, and can be rough. But at the end of the road, the beautiful Villa Xololo, with all its amenities, awaits you!
Dear guest, I love traveling the world and love to rent out my personal properties. I love sharing with others and especially with like-minded people. I am a citizen of the world, and I created Villa Xololo and its loft as a place for gathering and happiness—a hidden gem in a secluded area near one of the most beautiful beaches. I hope you’ll appreciate that and see the effort and dedication I’ve put into making Villa Xololo and the loft the best they can be. Try exploring new paths… try relaxing into the energy of this place; try walking, working up a sweat, and enjoying it; try leaving your car where it is and walking the path to the beach; try leaving your cell phone behind; try observing nature, the ocean, and the xololos (hermit crabs)—or even, sometimes, turtles, their babies, and whales. Try to slow down your thoughts, try to let go... ;-)
Right next to our Villa Xololo/loft on Playa la Boquilla (a 1.5-kilometer walk—about 15–20 minutes—or a 5-minute drive) is my beloved hotel, Bahía de la Luna. Enjoy a margarita or other cocktail, or some food and drinks, while stretching your legs in the white sand and lounging in the shade. Sometimes you can see huge turtles laying their eggs, or their hatchlings making their way to the sea. I also love El Comedor La Costenita, right at the entrance to La Boquilla. Here you’ll find the best aguachile and the best shrimp (camarones). Comedor Shadany, located at the turn-off from the main road to the road leading to La Boquilla, is also a nice spot, and they’ll even deliver food to your house.
I used to live in Mazunte, a beautiful little hippie village known for yoga, meditation, and healing—just a 35-minute (by car from Villa Xololo. I love to keep things quiet and only dive into events and places occasionally—that’s why I love the secluded location of my house.
San Agustinillo is next to Mazunte, a beautiful and quiet family-friendly village, great for surfing.
Right next to it and only about 20–25 minutes by car from Casa Xololo/Loft, you’ll find Zipolite—Mexico’s only nudist beach. I love Zipolite; it’s very close to Villa Xololo and is a very open, energetic, and international (yet still very Mexican) place with a beautiful, long, and impressive beach featuring high waves and a large number of cool beach clubs (Hotel Naked and Hotel Nude), bars, and restaurants. Be sure to have lunch or dinner at El Alquimista, one of my favorite spots in Zipolite.
Puerto Angel is the next village (about 7 kilometers or about 15–20 minutes by car) from the villa. It’s a very local fishing village. You can buy everything there—they even have an Oxo, a pharmacy, a doctor’s office, produce stands, and plenty of places where you can find the best fresh fish, shrimp, and seafood. There’s a large “Supermercado 7 Regiones,” and they have everything you need there.
Potchutla is about 11 kilometers away and is the largest town in the area.
To reach the house, drive toward Hotel Bahia de la Luna, but do not turn down toward La Boquilla Beach; instead, continue straight past the cemetery (Pantheon Ebano). From there, it’s only 800 meters, but the road (depending on the season and weather) can be particularly rough. Driving down from the cemetery, you’ll come to only one real intersection; take a sharp right and continue along the road (passing a modern black garage building on the left, a construction site—or perhaps a house nearing completion—and another finished house with a thatched roof) until you reach a parking area overlooking the sea and the Xololo house. Please park your car so that a second car can also park. Thank you.
For an additional fee, you can book an excellent Mexican chef and also have cleaning services as often as you’d like.
