Our "Quinta Colina" is a high-quality guesthouse featuring a covered terrace and a private garden.

A large electric gate opens onto a well-maintained, grand driveway that leads up to the Quinta, which is situated on a hillside. The guesthouse is positioned to the side and slightly below the main residence. Thanks to a clever architectural design that utilizes the property’s various levels, the guesthouse feels completely private and is nestled within a lovingly tended garden. Located slightly above the guesthouse is the pool terrace, which houses a 6m x 12m swimming pool. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent, expansive view of the Portuguese countryside, including the retreat of Nobel laureate Günter Grass—a villa that he designed himself. The guesthouse comprises two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a covered terrace (39m²). From the terrace, you enter a spacious living room equipped with a gas fireplace and a fully fitted open-plan kitchen. On either side of the living room are generously sized bedrooms (each with a 2m x 1.8m bed), featuring built-in wardrobes and beautiful en-suite bathrooms. Both bedrooms also offer direct access to the terrace.

The terrace in front of the apartment faces south, as does the covered area by the pool house.

The main house on the estate is occasionally occupied by the owners.

A charcoal grill, an electric grill, and pool/beach towels are provided.

For stays of 22 nights or longer, an interim cleaning service—including a change of bed linen—is included.

Additional interim cleaning can be arranged through the property management team for a fee of €120 (if one bedroom is used) or €160 (if both bedrooms are used). Location
Quinta da Colina has no immediate neighbors and is surrounded by farmland.

Although it is situated in a quiet, inland setting (about 10 km from Portimão), it serves as an excellent base for reaching many of the Algarve’s attractions without a long journey. These include Lagos, Silves, and Loulé, as well as a multitude of stunning beaches, unique rock formations, the enchanting Serra de Monchique mountains, and the beaches along the west coast—which remain largely undiscovered even during the peak season.

The nearest beach, in Alvor, is a popular and very expansive family-friendly beach.

With some of the Algarve’s best cycling routes and the Penina Golf Course right on the doorstep, renowned surfing beaches just a 30-minute drive away, and the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (motorsport circuit) also easily accessible, the property serves as an ideal starting point for a wide variety of leisure activities.
