Enjoy a grown-up getaway in the heart of Richmond – this pet-friendly first-floor apartment sleeps four and has a light-filled open-plan living space plus views over the lovely Friary Gardens.
Explore one of the most architecturally rich towns in the North of England during a stay at this welcoming holiday apartment. Stairs lead from a spacious lobby up to your first-floor entrance; step inside and you’ll find a chic open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a feature slate wall and all the comforts of home. There’s a wealth of pubs, bars and restaurants on the doorstep but for chilled-out nights in, the kitchen has all the self-catering essentials and if you tire of the view from your windows, there’s a TV for entertainment. When it’s time to retire, two double bedrooms beckon. Each has storage space so once you’ve parked in the allocated space at the rear of the property, you can unpack and fully settle in; enjoy a soak in the bath before bed or a shower to kick start your morning – the bathroom here offers both options.
Dominated by the Norman castle which occupies a commanding position high above the River Swale, Richmond has an iconic cobbled market square surrounded by Georgian buildings. Independent shops and great places to eat and drink make this an ideal choice for a day of culture. An English Heritage site, Richmond Castle offers breathtaking views of the Yorkshire Dales; there’s tamed beauty to enjoy on your doorstep in the form of the Friary Gardens, which contain the town’s war memorial and a 15th-century bell tower.
