you can walk everywhere
Lots of homeless around. Didn't feel safe walking alone in that area at night.

So grateful they had a room available last minute, as we were in a pinch due to an unexpected Airbnb disappointment. I would really like to compliment the nice, older man working the front desk the morning we were checking out. I was very tired, and very fussy. And he was just wonderful. Very sweet, patient, and helpful. They didn't offer a breakfast, but they had coffee, tea, and I think bananas? Which was also very much appreciated.
Unfortunately, since it's an older hotel, there was one elevator, and it was out of service shortly after we arrived. This made leaving the net morning pretty frustrating. The hotel staff did communicate well about the inconvenience and offered to assist us with our luggage, but we were able to do it ourselves, so I didn't want to bother them.

Location was great, staff very kind and friendly. Bed very comfortable. We got lucky and been upgraded from a standard room to a suite which we are very grateful for!
There was marks on the walls and dust on multiple surfaces in the room (lamps, light switches, heater, etc.)
