Romer House Waikiki

Good location. Helpful staff. Weather was warm, but rainy. Caught the last few hours of Hurricane LaLa but just wind and warm rain.

Noisy traffic and party people late on the street. Our first serious storm.

Staff were exceptionally nice. Breakfast was always delicious, especially the Acai bowls (recommended adding Macadamia nuts). AC worked well in the room down to 16C. Location was super handy, and very nice to walk through the marketplace on the way to the beach. Also only 2 mins from target. Would stay again!

The location was excellent, walking distance to everything in Waikiki, 5 minutes from the beach. We stayed for a full week and the service was flawless for the entire time, from reception to breakfast teams, as well as housekeeping. We highly recommend the breakfast package because the dishes were great and having breakfast outside is priceless. The bedroom size was good, and so was the bathroom size and bed size. The bedding was high quality. The overall value, including the breakfast package was really good, and we would definitely stay there again.

Even though the air conditioning was one of those modern models, the machine we had in our room was noisy. But we got used to it fast.

Staff was very friendly. Housekeeping came every single day when we were told every other day during our 10 night stay, so that was really nice.

The bathroom socket didn’t work, the phone in the room was really confusing to use (how to hang up specifically), the air conditioning didn’t work properly because we had to set it to 61 and we are from Minnesota, so we knew it was nowhere near 61 because both of us were uncomfortably warm each night, the glass wall for the shower doesn’t go far enough, so water gets all over the floor, and there was always one person working at the desk. We missed our brunch reservations because it took over 20 minutes waiting in line to check out because a guest was having an issue, and there was only one worker.
