Stonebridge Hotel Dawson Creek

We got the Suite with 2 beds and a pullout couch. The room had a fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. Had we been staying longer then the weekend, it would be a great room to help save on expenses if you brought the kitchenware. The location is great. There is a restaurant right on site, and you could walk across to the Walmart if you needed anything. The gentleman that did the morning breakfast was very pleasant and attentive to keeping the tables clean. One my last morning, there was no meat option (previous mornings had bacon and the next morning sausage) and when someone inquired about it. he offered to make either option for the guest. Every morning there was a slight variation to what was offered in the hot plates and it was appreciated. I was in from Ontario so my sleep schedule was messed up so it being open at 6am worked for me. I usually came down and spent an hour sitting there enjoying my coffee.

I slept on the pullout couch and I was frustrated to not find an additional blanket or comforter in the room for me to use at night. I would forget in the morning to ask for one when leaving in the morning for the day and only remember when crawling into bed. Unsure if they take them aware for the summer however even though it was early Oct, it was snowing and raining and I found it a bit chilly.

We sought a pet-friendly hotel, and this location delivered wonderfully. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our dog was happy to see other dogs. But there was no lingering 'pet odor' or other signs that animals stayed there.

The only annoyance was an issue with the lock on the door - it beeped nonstop when locked until the deadbolt was engaged, which meant going out was a pain. Hotel staff worked on it, but I'm not certain it was ever solved. Not the end of the world. We got a great night's rest.

The beds weren’t the comfiest but they also weren’t the worst either.
