The rooms were a good size, with a comfortable bed. The heritage house was lovely and the rural setting was quite peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner opened the bar for us in the evening and lit the fireplace to add to the ambiance. The breakfast was great and the whisky selection in the bar was excellent.
Couldn't get the window to open in the bedroom. I'm sure there was a trick to it, just didn't figure it out.

The breakfast was plentiful . We had a fresh made smoothie & a homemade cheese & bacon frittata plus cereals, muffins, toast eggs .
The building is steeped in history which the host Steve was happy to tell us about & was available to pour us a nightcap from the bar !
The spa downstairs is amazing although we didn't have time for a treatment
Beautiful setting, gardens to relax in.
The stairs !

For the price, breakfast was sufficient. Bed was exceptionally comfortable and it was very quiet.
Room was too small, no room to move around and it could have had a chair. Very awkward to dress, etc. The sink in room had no hot water.
