Edwardian Hotel

Some of the hosts were friendly but some were not and didnt bother to greet me.

Light fixture and bathroom vents need to be cleaned! Could be cleaner and less dusty. Bedroom mattress was ok but could be firmer.

I chose this hotel for location and affordability and it more than met my expectations. Further, all the staff was extremely warm, friendly, and helpful-- good job for the workers. The all-day availability of coffee and tea at the front desk was a very pleasant and welcome surprise, and the coffee was very good too! I liked the 24-hour security of a front desk attendant. The communications from the hotel and their responsiveness were excellent.

The reasonableness of the room rates was matched by the size of the room, which was pretty small. Equipped with a bed, one side table, and a clothes hanger, the room was just about full. Even one chair would have been nice, but really could not have fit in the room comfortably. The bathroom was immaculately clean and furnished, but likewise small. The shower was adequate, but the sink was fit into a corner and so small that you had a bit of a time getting your face over the sink. The air dryer and its holder did not help. Even still, the bathroom worked fine.

The location is convenient -- I came to SF for a wedding at SF City Hall, which was only a few blocks away. Lots of cute cafes nearby too, and nothing too out of the ordinary in terms of, say, urban homeless/transient populations. Room was clean, given the age of the building. Front desk staff were really friendly.

You really gotta look at your reservation; Some rooms have private bathrooms IN your room. Others, like the one I had at this stay, have bathrooms available for all the guests on a certain floor. But I never had to wait for my turn and the bathrooms were very clean. But maybe bring sandals/flip-flops to walk back yo your room. It's also worth noting that my room did NOT have a fridge or microwave. (Luckily, there was a 24-hour cafe nearby.) Internet was sometimes laggy, but I was still able to have a 3-hour zoom meeting at this location with minimal problems.
