The Ridge

The rooms are small, but it was ok since we didn't spend much time in the room. they were clean and just a bit of noise from the inner walls and outside, with large windows and functioning blinds and curtains. I would stay here again.

There is no room service each day, but they said if we needed anything, like clean towels etc, just go down stairs and self serve.

Location, ease of access and fantastic terrace!

The location is ideal, 2 mins from subway and the price is very good for NYC. Cool area - very artsy. Rooftop seating offers great views of the city. Great AC system. Liked the code for entry access to building and room.

Found the payments system really stressful - an initial part-payment was randomly taken earlier in the year (fine per booking but they were unable to provide an invoice/receipt for this) and then kept trying to take payments whilst I was travelling for too much money. This was corrected when I advised earlier payment had been taken, but I’m concerned that it was left to me to correct this. Had I not checked, I would have been £200 out of pocket. Wasn’t the cleanest room with us having our white socks go black when walking on the floor / sticky floor and smelt a bit funky. Someone else’s hair ties and hair on the floor too. Didn’t love the concept of having to email/call for support / there wasn’t always reception that you could speak to with issues.
