Beautiful property inside and outside
Loved it all

Quiet location, definitely vintage-feel, but nicely updated. Restaurant was great and breakfast ok. Sorta think they could do better than Yoplait for yogurt.
The upper end of my budget but given the proximity to downtown reasonably priced.

Loved the location on an island in the middle of the Mississippi; it is very well positioned within walking distance of Downtown, the North Loop and St Anthony Main. There are countless restaurants, bars and coffee shops to choose from but be warned that many of them are closed on Monday and Tuesday. Beautiful leafy surroundings with plenty of historical and picturesque bridges to take you across the river. Very good cycle tracks. We hired bikes from the university and cycled to Minnehaha Falls and some nearby lakes. The Inn itself is beautifully furnished and our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean.
The bar and restaurant were closed on Monday and Tuesday. Not a huge problem as there are plenty of places to go nearby and some breakfast food and coffee etc are left out in the mornings.

Somewhat unique because of the age.
The breakfast that was supposed to come with it didn't. Instead there was a lackadaisical "Continental breakfast" In the hallway on each floor. Pretty lame, especially for the price of the hotel.
They have a restaurant but they only do brunch on Saturday and Sunday. We were there on a Thursday. Dining facility was not open. You could get food in the bar.
We've been in many historic places for half the price and twice the amenities. It's unfortunate as I was looking forward to this island visit.
The room promised a Riverview and a garden view which was also disappointing. The Riverview was okay as you looked at it straight on, as there were obstructions left and right. We never did see the garden, and we looked.
So a bit of misrepresentation.
This is not a $250. a night room!!
