The location was wonderful for the event scheduled for the weekend. Some of the staff were very welcoming and friendly, while others require a class in courtesy.

The bathroom was not that clean. In fact we had to have one of the maids to come to clean it again because we found excessive hair.

The accommodations were nice, the breakfast was nice and the staff (excluding the night manager, Owen) were friendly and helpful.

My family & I were completely disrespected by the night manager, Owen. His racist comment was totally unacceptable. My family & I (a total of 4 people) were seated in the dining area at approx 8p.m., enjoying a quick snack & talking. The desk clerk was in plain view of us & witnessed us sit. Clearly we were not disturbing her or any other guests. After about 30 minutes, the night manager, Owen approached our table & demanded we leave the area because, "we MIGHT get loud". There was absolutely no reason for him to "assume" we would get loud or become disruptive in any way. I am an African American businessman & upstanding citizen that deserve to be treated as such. I immediately took offense to Owens comment and let him know it was not appreciated. Owen stated the dining area could only be used during breakfast hours. There are no signs posted!! Furthermore, we were actually eating!! We purchased tacos from the eatery in the same area as the hotel. I reiterated to Owen there were no signs stating we could not be in the dining area and that we were not going to leave until we finished our food. I was angry and offended, but as Owen continued to say we "might" disturb the guests whose rooms were near the dining area, the worse the situation became because at no time were we loud, at no time did we disturb anyone and WE WERE DEFINITELY MADE TO FEEL THAT OWEN'S ASSUMPTIONS WERE MADE SIMPLY BECAUSE WE ARE BLACK. There was no reason for him to ask us to leave the area!!! The situation got escalated b/c Owen never relinquished or apologized! When asked, the front desk clerk acknowledged that she was NOT familiar with the policy. Owen started telling us about the non smoking area etc., which had absolutely no relevance to us. We do not smoke. My family and I were treated unfairly, discriminated against & I believe we deserve reimbursement for a least 1 night stay.
