The Metro NYC Hotel - Downtown

This hotel was simple, but very clean and great hospitality. To top it off, we ended up with a balcony room with an amazing view of Lower Manhattan.

We could hear the other guests and toilets, and the elevator was a little slow since there was only one.

Large room. Large bathroom with plenty of towels soaps etc Good location to eat out for dinner Quiet

The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Fridge didn’t keep items cool (forgot to tell staff ~ room 802)

We were able to store our luggage at the hotel for 2 hours after checkout.

Unfortunately it was located in a really sketchy area of China Town. It looked so much better online. Ok in daylight hours but once night fell homeless, drug affected people roaming around in the park land across the riad and outside the hotel entry yelling out abuse to people passing by, it was quite intimidating. The hotel is dated, in serious need of a reno. Paint knocked of walls, thin sheets with holes in them, lumpy pillows, chips and dents in furniture. Sorry to sound so negative but it was the worst place we've stayed at on our 5 week holiday. Staff were difficult to understand and not overally friendly. It felt like the kind of place you pay by the hour.
