Catamount Motel

Catamount motel has been around for decades, yet it is well maintained and comfortable. Housekeeping was performed daily. Room was large. Thermostat was only for the heat, but worked very well, staving off the cool nights outside. (A/C unit is separately installed in window.) Motel is advertised as pet-friendly and I was concerned before arriving that my room would be cleaned thoroughly enough for my allergies - did not have a problem staying there. Exterior doors have both knobs and deadbolts that lock separately. My room had a full shower with strong water pressure. Beds (I had a double room) had firm mattresses that made it easy to go to sleep. Several chairs and lamps plus a sofa made lounging easy and comfortable.

All of these are small things that would not make me hesitant to stay here again. My doorknob lock needed several attempts to unlock with the key (deadbolt lock worked fine). I wish there had been a decaf coffee packet available or more than one regular coffee packets. The room's HDTV had a couple of digital (HDMI) inputs, but I could not switch it to one to use as a bigger display for my laptop. (Did not see a way to switch inputs away from the normal cable.) Finally, their website says there are telephones in the rooms. Mine didn't have one. Maybe that was because we all have cellphones now, but still would have been good to have a local phonebook there for looking up people and businesses.

Convenient location in a quiet setting. Spacious room and very clean
