Motel 6-Joliet, IL - Chicago - I-55

Fresh coffee every morning. The landscape is very nice and dog friendly. There are a lot of eateries nearby too. I’ve stayed in a few Motel 6’s, and this location is the cleanest.

It’s rather a long commute, with a lot of construction happening right now. During my stay, my room hasn’t been cleaned, and no fresh towels either. I’m not sure if they wait until people check out or request this. But it’s not good.

The breakfsat was good. it was in a central location for all.

Great location near everything shopping and eating. Convient to everything. I love that there is microwave and frige in the room for me to heat up dog food and store my insulin instead of having to go lobby

The room wasnt swept well by night stand and under bed and furniture. A used washcloth was left in bathroom in top of shower rod. So staff definitely didn’t thoroughly clean room well or paid attention. Bottom Sheet on bed has stains. The turning knob in frige is broken.

Location was perfect - close to major interstate and also close to shopping and dining. Staff was responsive and not unfriendly. The first room I was assigned was unclean and I was re-assigned to the room next door. This second room was clean and smelled reasonably fresh. The bathroom was clean and supplied with towels and soap and cups. The television worked.

I'd read reviews about unclean rooms and bad smells, so when I booked I'd requested that the room be clean, non-smoking, and smell good. The response I received was apparently written during the height of Covid Pandemic and was nonsensically unresponsive to my request. The first room I was assigned was 123 and the floor was extremely sticky because a previous occupant had spilled something, maybe honey or soft drink or something else. I notified the manager who came with an inadequate mop and spray bottle, but the entire floor was sticky and he eventually offered a different room (126 next door to 123) which was clean and smelled fresher. Also, my room key seemed to be single use because every time I returned to the room, it didn't work and I had to ask the front desk to re-code it. The room was not cleaned nor made up between the first and second nights of my stay. There was no wifi signal in this room, only a few yards from the lobby.
