Property was nice to walk around the property and pond
The air ducts in our room had mold all over them and the ac return was really dirty too the carpet floor was pretty dirty was good the porch has some really weak boards was kinda scared to walk over them, overall we had a wonderful time but upkeep and the room we had was just not that clean. Would love to come back and maybe stay in a more updated room without mold. Our bed was way too high and the box spring looked like it's from 1980.

We enjoyed walking the grounds. The history you can feel in the buildings and outdoor spaces. Antique furniture. Cozy and comfortable.
Even though it was warm weather, I kind of wanted to sit in front of the little fireplace and enjoy the view. The fireplace was out of order. My husband wanted to watch sports, but the internet to the tv wasn’t strong enough to run it. My silly husband caught a cold and there was no box of tissues.

We enjoyed the breakfast staff! They were fun and very friendly. The property is beautiful. We enjoyed walking around, sitting by the water. The purpose of our trip was to relax and this was the prefect place for that!
The floors in our room could have been cleaned better. I went over the bathroom floor with a wet had towel. It helped some.

The hotel sits on a pretty property and has a large garden.
The hotel feels like a theater set. Most parts of it do not date back to the original 19th century but have been added since the 1970ies, were clearly never of high quality and have not been well maintained. The suite we had had old musty carpets, dingy lights, and the floor in the toilet seemed to be sagging when you stepped on it. Even the garden did not seem well maintained. We had dinner at the 1818 Restaurant, which was ok, but nothing special, the wines they serve appear to be from Costco with a hefty mark-up. The breakfast in the morning was ok, but again nothing special. Overall we came away with an impression of low quality.
