Beautiful iconic location.
The once regal hotel is in much need of a refresh. Discolored grout in bathroom and duct-taped carpet in breakfast area.

Each room has a wonderful clear view of the Astoria marina and the bridge across the Columbia River. Breakfast is good, and starts serving at 6:30-- great for early risers like us
The room was clean but there were stains on the carpet.

Great location and value
There were no lamps for reading. Check-in was at 4 and the surly desk clerk kept us waiting because we thought it was at 3. The sink was plugged with dirt, which was unable to be fixed, and they said they couldn’t find us a room elsewhere because I had reserved with a third party. They gave me Booking.com’s # to deal with it. They just made one excuse after another.😩
