Guest House Inn Medical District near Texas Tech Univ

Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Offered free bottle water upon check in. Clean facility and room. Price for homecoming weekend was great. Good parking. Close to restaurants and campus. Faculty is dated but clean. Not fancy but the value is excellent

Nothing

I was in town for an event at United Supermarkets Arena. This was a fantastic location for this purpose.

Nothing. Great value for money, decent breakfast, large room and bathroom, free parking…

As a returning guest, Everything about this hotel is exceptional!

The location is excellent for those who need an accommodation in Lubbock's medical district. The beds are also fairly modern and clean.

There were major lapses in communication. For one, I requested an accommodation: a room on the first floor. As it turns out, this property does not have any rooms on the first floor. Why did they agree to the request if they couldn't honor it? Secondly, even though I pre-paid at the time of booking, they demanded I pay them an additional $100 "deposit". I've never had to do that at a hotel. That was extremely sketchy and made me want to leave right then and there, but I did not have time to find another accommodation. I suspect they are probably not allowed to do that under Booking.com's terms of service. Also, the room (216) had some issues, including an AC/Heater unit that NEVER shut off, even when I switched it to "off", and it kept making bizarre noises. It was very distracting and kept me awake when I was trying to sleep.
