Best Western Plus Ponderay Mountain Lodge Sandpoint

Very easy checking and check out was not bothered by any staff it was very quiet and peaceful and there's a dog park nearby which was great and that was very clean had access to a heated pool inside in the workout room and those two were very clean and enjoyable especially when you're handicapped had my two dogs with me and they were treated just like a guest the breakfasts were outstanding hot breakfast also there was yogurts there was oatmeal there was pastries there was fresh fruit there was filtered water that had flavoring in it different flavors each day and that was ice cold coffee and tea all day long this is a place that I come to to get away every time and Kathy the overseer I guess of the food area very nice and pleasant talking with her.

The one thing I didn't like was I was not able to get my point because I went through booking.com and you don't get points for that so next time I will book directly to the hotel.

Huge room

Greeted warmly upon check-in. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable. Main floor dining area was inviting, with seating inside and out (also useful as a lounge for reading). Breakfast offerings changed each day. Used the workout room several times. Hotel is well-located for exploring the area (we were in town to attend a wedding). ‘Sweet Lou’s’ restaurant immediately adjacent was terrific for lunch.

The highway frontage has no sidewalk, so walking to the nearby Starbucks for 6am matcha lattes meant walking on the shoulder of the road. We opted to drive there the next three mornings.

Location good

Room was VERY HOT when I first went in and it took forever to cool down. I had to run the fan all night, which was loud. My toilet was running all night. I informed the front desk they said they would let maintenance know, but they didn’t make an effort to fix it in the moment. the smoke detector beeped scared my dog had to go to the front desk again they did fix that issue by adding a new battery. Was woken up in the middle of the night to what sounded like a 747 landing in the room some horrendous fan type noise above me for about 15 minutes.
