MainStay Suites Roanoke Airport

Location was good and not hard to find- followed directions.

Handicap accessible suite but the fan in both bathrooms didn’t work and one of the bathrooms had an unusable toilet that couldn’t be used. The toilet wasn’t properly seated and sealed into the floor. It rocked if you sat down and when flushed suspicious water came out on the floor from where the toilet was supposed to be attached. Had 5 that needed a place to sleep so we have to keep the room and not use that bathroom.

Clean and very spacious room, comfortable king bed, plenty of power outlets at nightstands on both sides of the bed, very good water pressure in the shower with plenty of hot water, air conditioning was effective and not loud, large refrigerator and freezer that was very clean, plenty of parking available, convenient and accessible location that looked very safe.

There is no soap provided in the shower nor the kitchen (but there is at the bathroom sink, and I presume they'd provide more if you ask), 2) only two sets of cutlery, glassware and dishware in the kitchen for a room that can accommodate more than two people, 3) covering has peeled-off the headrest of the high-backed chair chair in the main area (which was pretty comfortable), 4) no printed TV channel guide and unclear if a channel listing was available on the TV. Mildly surprised that no breakfast items were offered, but this is not a big negative since most hotel breakfasts are unremarkable.

The parking lot needs to be a little bit bigger

The room was fine. It was big with two queen beds.

I was only going to be on the property for four hours, so the $80 price I thought I was booking online was fine. I got to the property and it was $179. The night clerk was not feeling good so I had to wait for over an hour to get checked into my room. By the time I was able to get into my room and get settled, I got two hours of rest (I won't call it sleep) before I had to get going to catch my flight. That was an outrageously expensive nap, shortened by lack of customer service. The room was fine, just smelled a bit stale. The reclining chair didn't actually recline- and I cannot sleep flat, hence the lack of actual sleep.
