Motel 6-McKinney, TX - North

Conveniently located to restaurants and downtown historic McKinney

The room was in disrepair in some areas. The vinyl flooring was coming up on the corners so we had to be careful in walking to the bathroom in the night as not to stub our toe.

It was a convenient spot.

No remote for tv. The plug in were not working properly. Twice I took showers in three days, found lots of roaches in bathroom after that. Plus around garbage cans in room.

Quiet. Comfy bed. Excellent shower. Plenty of hot water.

Only 1 luggage dolly. Morning desk clerk was snotty about how slow I was using it at 4 am.

It was clean, comfortable, and pet friendly. It was also fairly quiet.

It smelled like marijuana in every hall. Not in the room, but in every hall. I stayed two nights and on the second night, the person at the front desk assigned my room to someone else. Then, after being woken up around 3:30am by some strange couple walking in after a whole 4 hours of sleep, the staff member comes to my room around 4am, and tells me that I'm not supposed to be there and the room is supposed to be empty. I gave my name and never heard anything back. About 6:30am, I went to potty my dog and found out that I was locked out of my room because my keycard had been disabled. Back down to the front desk to get another key for the room that I had paid for. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep and no apology from the staff for waking us up, the room confusion on their end, nothing.
