We have been going to this hotel multiple times a year for our fishing trips since I was a child, over 30 years. Location is perfect, always has been. Its close enough to get to where we want to go, but far enough away that we don't have to deal with the drunk jackasses that come down from Chicago.

Just wish the location had a pool and jacuzzi, they used to years ago.

The room was fine, the staff was good and I felt safe.

First, there were unoccupied rooms on the first floor. I am almost 77. Why did I have to have a 2nd floor room? Next, the TV was impossible to figure out how to use. Char was very nice when I tried to help when I called the desk the first night, but I gave up trying to make the TV work that night. I thought the radio would be good, but it wouldn't even turn when I plugged it in. The next morning, it took Alexia and Sam to make the TV work and "Anoun"(?) had to come to make the radio work. Alexia and Sam also insisted the radio was only an alarm clock, but they were quiet when I pointed out the "AM-FM" button and the tuner dial on the front of the device. On the 2nd day, I tried using the washer and dryer. It was great to have them and the "Out of Order" sign was off to the side. The washer said "$2.00" on the slide and took 8 quarters that I got from Alexia, however, the washer would not start after I followed the instructions to put in my clothes and soap and put in the 8 quarters I got from Alexia. She came to the washer and tried everything to make it work, including pushing all the "breaker" buttons several times and calling someone for assistance. Finally, she put 8 MORE quarters into the slider and the machine started working. The dryer said "$1.50" and worked fine with that amount.
