Four Points by Sheraton Memphis Southwind

Cleanliness

The online presentation and photos had a “wow” factor that was different from being at the property

Cleanliness: clean fresh towels and bedsheets, bathroom in good condition, big bottles of hand soap, lotion, etc. Staff is nice, friendly, especially the girl that works in the evening.

Breakfast is at 6:30 not at 6:00 as it said on my reservation.

The location

The hotel’s biggest issue was the amount of drinking and drug use that was allowed, especially around the back entrance near the pool. There were children going in and out of the hotel who had to walk through clouds of marijuana smoke and past people openly drinking as if they were at a nightclub. This was extremely inappropriate for a hotel environment, especially with families and children staying there. Management should have done more to enforce rules and maintain a safe, family-friendly atmosphere. It was Memphis though and I was already warned what to expect ahead of time. The breakfast was not that great and you had to wait a long time just to get it.
