Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbus - Polaris, an IHG Hotel

The room itself was spacious, the AC was ice cold (which we loved!) and there were plenty of towels. The pool area also had ample towels and looked to be well maintained. Great place if you have small kids.

Well, for starters, there is no hot tub despite pictures of the hot tub still being on the hotel's website and the booking.com website. That was a HUGE disappointment. They essentially cemented it in. . . .also, while we booked a "queen suite" the beds are not queen sized mattresses as advertised. They are full size mattresses. Not ideal for two adults. The rooms was huge, with ample space for actual queen size beds. The road noise from our room was crazy-loud, I know that's not something that is within Holiday Inn's control, but it was not ideal for sleeping. Plus, the windows were filthy. Our room overlooked the main entrance of the hotel, and they were so dirty, you could barely see out of them

Everything was clean and cozy. The staff members we came across were all very friendly.

We requested not to have down pills bc of a down allergy, but we still had down pillows in our room.

We stayed while visiting family. The pool complex was especially enjoyable with our 4 year old grandson. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. The staff was exceptional - at check-in, during our stay and at check-out. We will likely stay again in the future.

The indoor swimming pool is very good for families with small children.

There’s poor insulation between rooms so you could hear the people next door (child crying and toilets flushing in the middle of the night). Breakfast was basic. Also, the morning front desk man during checkout had his personal airpods on. I think this is disrespectful because he should pay attention to customers.
