Castaway Bay by Cedar Point Resorts

Loved customer service! We were greeted with a smile !everytime we left the hotel pass the desk they greeted us!

We requested a light bulb 3 times nothing! Prices of the games were a bit high! It was hard to get staff to the ice cream stand! One girl was there running Starbucks and the ice cream station ! Also all the big slides were closed one day so My teens didn’t get to enjoy the water park

Very clean and spacious

The location of this hotel to Cedar Point is perfect. My family stayed here for 2 nights while we visted Cedar Point. The hotel does offer various activities for the kids to do while there. We took pictures at night outside by the water and it was beautiful.

For the price, I feel like there needs to be WAY more attention to cleanliness and staffing. The hotel was dirty, covered in spiders inside the lobby. I know that spiders will be present outside because of the water, but inside the main lobby, there were LOADS of cobwebs and spiders. It appeared NO ONE has cleaned the inside the lobby in a very long time. The hotel itself was very understaffed. We visited the water park twice, once on Friday evening and the next on Sunday morning. We were never able to visit all the water park had to offer because so many sections were closed. My husband had to ask a manager to help open the wave pool so my kids could enjoy it. At one point on Sunday morning, the entire waterpark was closed except the wave pool (all slides). It is dissapointing because it's not a large water park and we spend so much money to enjoy it, just to be told to exit the hot tub for the morning. Every aspect of the hotel was understaffed. We spent a very long time trying to get a coffee at the small food area in the main lobby because there was only one worker the entire weekend. She was super pleasent tho! All in all, we WOULD return, but I would suggest paying a bit more attention to the dirt/cobwebs, and try and staff the hotel better.

The location. Close to the amusement park and the mall and other shopping. Beds were comfortable and the bay view room was very pretty.

80 percent of the water park attractions were closed there was no warning about closures either. We got bored quickly with no rides only the hot tub,wave pool and the splash bucket tower was open.
