Historic Iron Horse Inn - Deadwood

Wonderful staff, location is great. Very historic feel to the building. Walking distance to main street and all the casinos/bars.

The beds are very, and I mean very firm. Elevator was a bit sketchy, but works.

This was a smaller room but perfectly suited our needs for our stay. The location was perfect with an easy walk to Old Main St (basically just across the street). The building was charming. The staff was more than accomodating and pleasant all around. The workers we talked with were also very knowledgable about the history of the building and very willing to talk about it. We couldn't get downstairs to the bar as it was closed the night we were there but would love to come back and experience that as it also looks to be a good time. Access to coffee/soda fountain at all hours was also a nice addition.

Room was neat clean and orderly. Staff was excellent and helpful. Location was a 2 minute walk from great restaurants. Free breakfast was typical, but fruit was perfectly ripe and tasty. 24hr access to soda machine and fridge with juice.

Bed was a little small for two people.

The Inn is full of character and definitely worth a stay and the staff are really friendly and helpful.

The communal downstairs part of the hotel is a bit confusing with couches and tv whilst a pizza parlour operates towards the back of the open plan room and there’s a through walk to an unassociated casino and shop.
