Absolutely love the front desk clerk, she was knowledgeable and extremely kind. The breakfast was fire...they had a ton of options and hella hot sauce! Loved it!
The clerk said she gets yelled at by customers because of their required deposit, It went back on my card like 24 hrs later and they are totally willing to work with you. Please be kind

The breakfast was great.
The pool was dissapointing, it needs to be cleaned or just closed up.

Room size. Plenty of space.
Bed was not that comfortable. But for price point and everything else hotel offered. Still 5 stars.

We loved the front desk staff. She was very kind and accomdating to our family. Every interaction we had was good. We also appreciated the location of this hotel in downtown Des Moines. It was walkable to many things and made it easy to explore.
We were surprised at the condition of the pool. Even my kids were not interested in swimming after they saw it. It was not kept well and there was dirt in the bottom. The age of the hotel building shows in some of the furniture and cleanliness of certain areas.
