The only employee working when we checked in was exceptionally kind. I docked points at check in because you as a company choose to understaff to make more profit. She was doing her other tasks for the night and the phone wasn't connected through the building so it took awhile to get in. She was so kind and apologetic and we understand it wasn't her fault at all, if even one more employee was allowed to be staffed then it would've been no problem. She didn’t say this was the problem, I formerly worked in the industry and could see no other employee which is a problem.
Brand choosing to understaff to a point it effects customers

Room was nice and seemed clean.
When you walk into the hotel it reeks of cigarette smoke. There was some shady looking people just loitering around the front entranc of the hotel smoking...maybe even doing drugs. I couldn't make out if some of them were employees or homeless people.
