The Victor Hotel

Liked the look of the room; modern convenience with old world charm.

We would have Dan extra blanket for sleeping. We didn’t want to run the space heater through the night so we’re somewhat cold while sleeping.

Very comfortable rooms and lobby sitting area. The historical furnishings are wonderful. The local residents were quite friendly and gave helpful information about the area.

Hmmmm. Each room has a numbered pad which uses a dedicated code to unlock your door. One must remember or record the code to access your room.

The Victor Hotel maintains its previous glory with its cage elevator and nicely and comfortably restored rooms. No A/C.. which could be a challenge in the summer? but early fall was just fine. This is a place for a unique experience.. not the usual modern hotel chain offerings.. Victor is an authentic old mining town with lots of character. Close enough to access the tourist attractions of Cripple Creek if desired. Restaurant choices are limited.. the Pizza across the street was excellent and the Gold Camp Bakery was well worth waiting for newly baked treats in the morning..

More businesses in town to be open in off season but that is the nature of a small mining town...

The room was big and modernized with touches of the past history. The bed was big and comfy. The microwave and mini fridge are very helpful when traveling. loved the bird cage elevator. The room was clean.

the towels looked dirty. The shower is practically useless. I had to oil our bathroom door. We never saw or talked to one staff member. The furniture in the lobby is falling apart.
