Location was good for what we needed. The room is large, comfortable mattress, plenty of towels and toiletries, overall clean. Wild turkey on the back lawn, and deer grazing and chilling. Quiet location.

Breakfast was not open at 8 AM. We planned to have breakfast at the hotel before heading to the trailhead but it was closed. We checked couple of times past 8 AM, including other guests did so as well. When mentioned to the staff, I was told the breakfast was served at 8:05 AM. However, the door was closed at 8:10-8:15. I suspect there was a delay, which is ok, life happens. Just would appreciate more transparency. We decided to completely skip breakfast the next day to not delay our plans. Aside from the breakfast hiccup, which is really not a big deal. The pillows could be updated and the decorative pillow cases and the bed cover should be washed after each guest! The pillow case smelled old and dirty.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel. It appeared that coffee and a waffle was the only option so we went to town for a better selection. The location was great, right next to the river (great view) and just outside of downtown. The staff texted me the room number, access code and wifi password before I arrived so there was no pressure to arrive at a specific time.

Everything in the room was nice and clean, but if I had to pick one thing to improve it would be the water pressure in the shower. It was fine. But ...

The location is excellent for exploring North Cascades N.P. Winthrop is a fun little town. The lodge was a great place to stay.

Breakfast is a challenge. They run out of things often so on our last day they were down to a package of donut holes and some coffee pods. Be sure you have something in your coolers or plan on heading into town, then you can be pleasantly surprised if they got a recent food delivery.
