Travel Inn

I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet and clean my room was. As a retired teacher, I spent my career assessing performance, and I didn't give an "Aunless it was earned. Owners of the travel in were accommodating and friendly and kind. I truly loved the guidelines that we were expected to follow, which was no parties, no pets, and no smoking. I loved that parking was directly outside my room door. Folks were kind and helpful and friendly, rules were followed, and quite reasonable, the cleanliness of this room was exceptional. Even homemade banana bread offered at morning breakfast. There was a variety of cold options, organic half-and-half, almond milk, orange juice, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, pastries, cereals, and more. Simple and adequate. I came here for a quiet and clean room, and felt safe and welcomed. Everything worked from the TV to the refrigerator to the air conditioning. The lace curtains were definitely a nice touch. The location was easy in and easy out. I came for my grandson's mountain biking race and my family stayed at the KOA right next to the race venue. Unfortunately, my daughter did not have a hot shower because of continuing issues with the propane tank. Had we not been 20 minutes from the KOA, I would've welcomed her to come and shower in my room before checkout. I had initially booked at the Best Western mainly because it allowed pets and had a pool. I looked at a review from August of this year with pictures only giving them a one star review. not looking well maintained at all. I found the Travel Inn with an over nine rating so I canceled the other reservation and would never stay anywhere else in Canyon City. Thanks folks for your made my visit a positive one!! You're the BEST at what you do!!!

I didn't realize that booking through booking.com did not allow me to get my military discount for the room. When I found that out, I thought well I guess I could cancel and call the hotel directly, but I decided to let that go. As a Senior woman who really doesn't travel much at all, I wasn't aware that this would've been an issue but I still felt like it was money well spent.

The staff at Travel Inn was very friendly, met all our needs and answered all our questions. The room was clean and comfortable, and it had a nice aesthetic. There was an in-room coffee machine, which I love because it's unfortunately rare in affordable hotels these days! Breakfast included boiled eggs, bananas and apples, two kinds of cereal with dairy & non-dairy milks, muffins, bagels and banana bread, and of course, coffee and tea.

I had everything I needed and no complaints!

We’d definitely stay here again. Super clean, homey, and comfortable. Not fancy, but very nice with many thoughtful gestures.

I liked being able to park directly in front of my room.

Breakfast was minimal. No hot food.
