Monte Bianco Inn

I like the location and near to restaurants.

The street is confusing but it's fine.

Room was decent; good towels (that's important), had microwave, fridge, coffee. Quiet despite being in room adjacent to street. Easy walk to restaurants, etc. in town.

Parking possibly inadequate (I was early to check in). Outside a bit shabby.

Room was very clean and nicely decorated and had amenities such as a blow dryer, toiletries, and a real coffee pot with coffee and cream and sugar provided. Great location within walking distance to many restaurants and shops.

It would be nice if the lock box used to dispense the room key could be changed to one where you push buttons with numbers on them to access the key. The current mechanism where you roll numbers on a roller until you have all four numbers of the code caused me some difficulty and luckily a staff member was nearby to help me. My only other issue was the size of the room which was very small. I was traveling alone but had I been traveling with a partner I doubt that both of us could have walked around in the room at the same time.

The location is just a short walk from the main downtown (and much cheaper than the other two hotels nearby). It is an easy stroll To Coffee or food. They try to take good care of what they have. It was basically clean and mostly comfortable.

The room has obviously been smoked in at some point in its past. Maybe a while ago But something, carpets, drapes, walls, is holding that smell. We almost left as soon as We opened the door. We let it air out a bit then basically got used to it. But it was initially very unpleasant. Carpets drapes, and covers just seem old and in need of replacement. But mostly it was comfortable, and given the price I would probably stay again.
