Hôtel du Vieux Marais

The concierge staff were incredibly helpful and lovely people.

The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken :-(

The hotel was great for a European boutique style lodging. Front desk staff were very hospitable, offering to schedule a wake-up call and taxi for my departure day- always engaging in conversation. My daughter & I stayed in a room with twin beds that were very comfortable with clean linens. Room.was cleaned daily and towels replenished. Our room had the best air conditioning of any hotel I've stayed in throughout European travels. The elevator was nice to have as we were on the top floor. This is in a great location and walkable to Metro stops, restaurants, and other retailers. We never opted for breakfast, so I cannot make any comments regarding the offerings. All in all, I would stay here again. No frills but perfect for what we needed.

While our room was clean, the shower was similar to other European hotels. No shower curtain and not even a half- wall at the tub/shower to prevent an over spray. Easy to contend with though. Just part of the experience.

shower was very good- strong force of water and hot.

preferable to have soap in the bathroom in the form of a liquid - easier to use. Larger waste paper bin would also be good.

The location in the Msrais seemed good

The room did not match the pictures we had to choose from. It was very small and very sterile. No pictures or anything of interest in the space
