For such a highly recommended hotel and the price I was disappointed. Shower basin was filled quickly with water leaking outside. Breakfast was disappointing. There were a lot of variety but coffee was not good and almond croissants not good. No idea what the Indian food was. Do not sure all international visitors are familiar with Indian food.

Our stay at the Taj Palace was absolutely amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, but what truly made our experience exceptional was the staff. The level of hospitality, kindness and genuine care we received throughout our stay was phenomenal. There are so many people who deserve a special mention: Anuj from Concierge, who was wonderful; Mustache and Ranjit at the pool, who looked after us brilliantly; Vinod at Orient Express; Rakesh, one of the managers; and the lovely Experience Manager, who made us feel incredibly welcome. A very special thank you also goes to the Head Chef and team at Orient Express and Capital Kitchen, who were exceptionally accommodating and went out of their way for us. Mykesh at Capital Kitchen was also absolutely lovely and made our visits there such a pleasure. What stood out was that the service never felt forced or transactional. People genuinely seemed to care that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. That level of hospitality is what we will remember most.

Honestly, there was very little not to like. We had a wonderful seven-night stay and were looked after exceptionally well. If anything could be improved, it would only be maintaining the incredibly high standard we experienced, because the staff have set the bar very high!

The staff were on the whole really helpful and professional. The rooms and facilities were clean and tidy.
