International Inn

My third stay here and won't be my last. Staff were excellent as usual, quick check-in process, and whenever I needed anything they were really helpful and friendly, genuinely cannot fault them. Room was clean and comfortable, and I felt safe within the hostel and also in the surrounding area as a woman travelling solo. Bathroom was really good, especially the shower which was really comfortable with good water temps and pressure. Towel hire was £1 which I thought was reasonable. Price overall is extremely reasonable for what you get which is what brings me back. I visited for Comic Con at the Exhibition Centre, this is within walking distance or just five minutes by Uber. Really close to the train station and other popular amenities in Liverpool. A good stay, would recommend!

Temperature in the room was maybe slightly too hot.

Loved the service, didn't mind too much about paying a quid for a towel, understandable. Loved the vending machine in reception, very handy, and very affordable there. Great and knowledgeable staff. Staff didn't hesitate to help out when I pointed out the light cover in the bathroom falling off suddenly when I left the room, they couldn't fix it themselves as it was late and it was something that had to be checked properly, but we appreciated the effort there and the fact that they tried.

Bought a bottle of water in the vending machine, it was stale! It tasted and smelled like dust or something, and this was a sealed bottle and still had 2 years on its use by date. Please note, that i DON'T think it's the hotels fault, but I feel like it could be a supplier issue, maybe others have had this happen?

Set up was good, most staff were friendly and helpful, clean and tidy and kitchen and games room / lounge are all set up well with plenty of cutlery and crockery for all guests.

I would like to see privacy curtains on bunks in all mixed dorms. Top bunk with low ceiling very difficult to get out of and caused me to get severe bruising, the ladders are very narrow compared to other bunks I have slept in. The kitchen/ dining area was too warm. It was uncomfortable to sit in because of this on most days.
