friendly staff , good breakfast . Well located accessible parking

For a small twin room and small bathroom , up three flights of stairs , it was expensive .

I stayed in a twin room on the third floor, it was extremely clean and a very good size. It had a number of amenities such as kettle and coffee maker also!

Nothing.

Lack of choice in in dinner in the dinner menu . Due to work being carried out , breakfast starters had to be carried a long way from a table up steps to table , The room supposed to be exceptional was not , No drawers . it lacked enough bright lighting so as to be difficult to read both in the room or in bed one side of reading lamp broken . , The coffee /tea making in a dark alcove which made it difficult to see what you were doing . You had to be in bed to watch the TV. We killed 5 creatures in the bathroom which were long, but we could not identify. Shower was inviting but attention to detail not good enough

Breakfast was very good for me. My wife ordered a cheese omelette which she said was tasteless. There were no side plates or butter in the self service breakfast area which I then had to ask for.

We were really disappointed that when we arrived at around 6:45 pm and were given our (upgraded for free) room - which was great in itself - that we weren’t able to enjoy a hot bath as the water was tepid. When I mentioned this in checking out the next morning the staff member was clearly aware this was an issue at the hotel - it really spoiled the experience for us and purely for this we wouldn’t feel happy recommending the hotel to others.
