Cottage with Private Pool, 15 Mins to Nearest Beach
Maison indépendante, dans le paisible village de Mortagne Sur Gironde avec piscine privée chauffée, y compris alarme de piscine de sécurité approuvée. Grand jardin entièrement clos avec un superbe barbecue intégré et une terrasse parfaite pour manger en plein air surplombant les champs et les vignobles. À Mortagne, il y a un supermarché, des boulangers, des bouchers, de la pharmacie, de la banque, du bar / tabac et des informations touristiques. Le port est à 10-15 minutes de marche et a un certain nombre de restaurants qui donnent sur la marina. Les plages de Meschers sont à seulement 15 minutes. Le plus grand zoo d'Europe à La Palmyre, l'Aquarium à La Rochelle et un complexe de piscines intérieures à Jonzac et un parcours de golf populaire le long de la côte ainsi que d'autres plages avec des sports nautiques. Superbe zone pour faire de la marche et du vélo avec les itinéraires tracés et la plupart de la route à travers les champs et les vignobles.

Wonderful stay at La Sauvagette! We loved staying at this comfortable gîte in the gorgeous village of Mortagne-sur-Gironde. Vikki and Andrew were wonderful hosts, very helpful and friendly. The house had everything we needed, clean and well stocked with everything needed for self catering holiday including charcoal BBQ.The garden was lovely with great views across the vineyards. Pool was clean and warm and enjoyed by us all. Plenty of sun loungers and seats. Garden box had inflatables, brollies and beach towels.Village is fab with lots of restaurants within walking distance, butchers, boulangerie, pizza, mini super market. 15 min walk down to port with lovely restaurants and few bars and a weekly market.We will definitely return!

We had a lovely stay. Everything went very smoothly. Vikki, the host was very helpful both with answering any queries we had, and also recommending activities and restaurants. The cottage was clean and very well equipped. The pool and garden area was spacious and peaceful.

Our third visit in 10 years :-)
The house is in a peaceful lane, backing onto grape vines, on the edge of the pretty little Gironde estuary village of Mortagne sur Gironde. Huge garden, not overlooked. Great pool, Fantastic (new) big charcoal bbq, outdoor seating. UK FreeSat TV. WiFi is quite weak as it’s a very rural area, so wouldn’t recommend if you want to do any work on a PC during your visit.
Bakery, butchers, great little supermarket and several restaurants in village, all within walking distance (or a short drive) from the house.
The owner, Vikki is fantastic; always very prompt communication and so friendly and helpful. It adds to the positive experience of the stay.

We had a late flight into bourdeox and a very easy drive to the villa, when we arrived it was imaculate. The bedrooms were already made up so all we had todo was open a bottle of wine.The villa is a short walk away from the centre of the village, which had a delightful butchers and bakers. There is also a lovely pizzera and a few resturants down the hill in the port. The villiage also had a pharmacy and cash point! Which came in handy as i forgot to get money at the airport. The host was very friendly and gave us a list of recommendations for the local area, as well as a visitors guide for us to look through.The week we went in september was beautiful and hot, the pool was clean and heated and well needed in the heat. The garden had a brick bbq which we used everynight for dinner. There were games and books for us to use during our stay.We had a fantastic and relaxing week here and will certainly be booking again.
