Top stay and a brilliant hotel

Wonderful location, clean and cozy. Great staff, Merel, Magdalena and Serena were examples of outstanding hospitality. Breakfasts were awesome.

Very comfortable rooms, partly with Sauna - what we enjoyed VERY much. Nice area with easy access to the mountains in summer and winter. Friendly staff.

Mattress could have been more comfortable - either dated or broken - replacement advised. Besides this - as almost everywhere - it is difficult to find good service personal - in direct comparison to 3 years back this felt like some kind of downgrade

There were 2x gentlemen. Pavo (I hope I didn't destroy his name) and another guy that I always saw at breakfast were the only untarnished positive parts of the trip.

1. Basically handed an iPad and told to check myself in after a long journey (not the VAYA I found years ago) 2. They assign parking, then it goes unenforced so you have to return from dinner and park on the street and then speak with hostess for "a new assigned spot" because someone took yours? (And they had zero inclination to solve anything--just "oh, busy day today" 3rd graders can organize license plates and parking spots with #'s. 3. This one truly takes the cake. I reserve a suite and a CRIB--a crib, cmon people, what are cribs for??? Okay, well, then they give me the suite immediately adjacent to the pool that's open early and late hours so my kid can be woken up (and there's at least 90% of the hotel that would avoid this) Vaya was something special almost a decade ago when I first found them. This place had one of two coffee machines turned off on a Saturday with a 10 person queue to self serve coffee. Breakfast bar fruit bowls empty and not refilled with any semblance of haste. For couples I think this may be a better option. At this price point I have stayed in far better accommodations in the Ziller, Stubai, Otztal, and many other valleys. One other take away, if you aren't looking to do full board meals at the hotel, your options are pretty limited as it's a pretty sleepy town.
