Unfortunately, Hotel Bellevue did not live up to our expectations. We stayed for nine nights, and while the location and setting are beautiful, the service was disappointing, particularly around the beach. The food and drinks were extremely expensive and, in our opinion, simply not good value for money. I have no issue spending money when the experience warrants it, but here it didn’t. We also had to ask on several occasions for basic room essentials such as towels, soap and body lotion, as these were left empty or weren’t replenished. What disappointed me most was the lack of personality and personal service. During nine nights, we were never really asked if we were enjoying our stay or if everything was okay. For a hotel of this standard, I expected much more interaction with guests and a stronger presence from management and staff on the floor. A beautiful hotel is one thing, but good service, attention to detail, personality and value for money are just as important. Unfortunately, we felt these were missing during our stay.
