Eibsee Hotel

The location is perfect and the hotel property sits in the mid of nature. The staff is nice (specially younger staff employed here). Breakfast was good. Also dinner was okay as well paired with drinks (both alcoholic/non-alcoholic). The bar is a bonus if someone wants to enjoy drinks later after dinner until 11:00 in the night. Just across the road you can get cable car/train for Zugspitze for which you can buy the tickets from hotel itself. We enjoyed our stay except for few experiences which I highlighted in what we didn't like.

We did not like our room during our 1st night stay. During booking it said courtyard view room but we did not had any view (some construction was happening in the front courtyard of the hotel about which we were not informed earlier). Although the room was clean but during midnight we were hearing a lot of loud noises of people talking and moving stuff somewhere at 1:00 AM - 2:00 AM which disturbed out sleep. Though the hotel has night staff but I believe it is the responsibility of the hotel to manage the move of the things during day time and not allow something like this to happen during night which can disturb the guests as it happened in our case. Also I would like to point out that the breakfast/dinner were good but there was 1 staff (waitres) in the restaurant during breakfast (2nd day of our stay) who did not treated us equally like other guests. We were the only Indian guests staying at the property during our stay and that staff went to each table for cleaning, asking if someone needed anything, wishing them good day but for us it felt like we were left out and my wife even had to go to the other staff to ask for cleaning the table since no one was coming to clean our table (unlike other surrounding tables). Our table was in the center of the rest of the tables where people were having breakfast but we were treated differently from the rest of the guests. This experience made us rethink that if we made the right choice to stay at this property. I believe that it is the right of everyone to be treated equally and this experience ruined our day.

No air conditioning or fan

The location, of course. It is absolutely stunning & nothing like I’ve ever seen. The cooks & chefs were lovely & welcoming.

It was the cleanliness, or lack of sanitization that bothered me the most. There’s absolutely no deep clean of the rooms or beach beds. Also, spiders literally all over certain areas where people can’t sit because they made a colony. Which is a sign that those chairs/tables haven’t been touched in so long. Let alone cleaned. No AC or fans, the rooms were suuuuuper stuffy & when I opened the windows all sorts of bugs would enter. Some of the staff members were lovely while others were indifferent & unhelpful.
