I liked everything even my room mates. The staff especially the young lady whose name i neglected to ask was very helpful and cheerful. the Location was good ...you could walk to every place you wanted to go to in this town.

The location was pretty convenient to both train station & old town, being just slightly outside. It felt reasonably safe walking back at night as a solo female. The kitchen had essentials for cooking (including stove, pots), although would appreciate a strainer (not a pleasant space to hang out though).
The single loft room was ok, pretty small & basic. The bathroom saved it with a proper window, to allow air flow through & natural light & quite modern pleasant (although shower head in bath with no screen requires skill not to get water every where). Fairly good for people who need fragrance-free/low chemical accomodation (only a hint of cleaning products that can air out with window open for a bit).
The nearby church bells were extremely loud even through ear plugs. They begin at 6am, then extra long bells at 6.45am to really make sure you’re awake, then every hour, so it’s very hard to try to sleep much after early morning. Otherwise not great soundproofing between rooms, but I’ve had worse.
Did not visit kitchen for breakfasts when there were more people around, but atleast at all other times the hostel was dissappointingly not social at all, never saw another person on the balconies. Kitchen virtually deserted outside breakfast. Was not expecting families staying in hostel, less backpacker vibe than expected.
The bedroom only had sky light, with a broken blind, had to use an elastic band to try to hold partially in place to prevent bright light shining directly on face early in the morning or people right outside in the adjacent building being able to see in (surely they could fix this?!).
Room clean but common areas of hostel have quite an old musty vibe or tacky fake grass on deck.
Staff were pleasant enough.

Ali on the front desk was very helpful and sorted another night at last minute and helped with the room cleaning situation.
Bed wasn’t made when I arrived but I did book last minute and Ali sorted this out straight away.

A bathroom shared by 4–6 people is very good for a hostel.
An interesting idea regarding the capitals.
Good location
The "Lisbon" room is so small that I had a bout of claustrophobia. That would be fine, but the windows are covered with privacy film, creating the feeling of being in a basement.
The hostel is completely ordinary. I don't understand the such high ratings.
