The location was excellent …almost in the centre of Madrid city and walkable to many of the sights. Our room was small but spotlessly clean and included a private shower/ toilet, hairdryer, tv etc. We had the use of a kitchen with a coffee maker, kettle, fridge, snacks etc which was an unexpected bonus for making hot drinks. The reception and cleaning staff were so helpful and friendly and went out of their way to give us directions etc. They also accommodated our late arrival which was well out of their normal hours.
Our room was a bit tiny but adequate for us small people!

Hostal Royal Cruz was very clean and staff were very friendly and made us feel welcomed.
Could have better breakfast options, but in spite of that, we would definitely stay there again.
