We had the pleasure of staying for two weeks in Carol and Philipp’s cozy apartment and felt right at home. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and throughout our stay, the hosts went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, despite the intense heat. The apartment is located on the first floor and is accessible via an outdoor staircase. It is equipped with everything we needed—microwave, small oven, coffee maker, etc. The house is situated in a somewhat rural setting yet remains centrally located. Its architectural style is typical of the region; with its roof design, it even bears a slight resemblance to a Black Forest house :-) The Seine is just a short drive away. Duclair, a small town located right on the river, offers everything one might need: nice restaurants, a supermarket, a gas station, and a free car ferry across the Seine. The coast and its lovely seaside resorts can be reached within an hour, and the surrounding towns—such as Rouen and Lillebonne—are a treasure trove for culture enthusiasts. Carol and Philip were super hosts, very helpful with questions about the area and driving querks in the area. The Gite was very comfortable and equiped with everything anyone would need. As other guests have stated, a car in a must to stay here.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We felt immediately at home. Everything was clean, the kitchen was very well equipped. They have sent us a good explanation in advance on how we can get to the lodging. They also surprised us with many small attentions. There was a lot of good information and suggestions for walking tours and sightseeing near and far. We particularly appreciated the fact that we could buy from them the bus tickets to visit Rouen… We would choose this lovely place again. We spent a whole week and went visiting so many interesting monuments and landscapes.

We stayed with our 3 kids a couple of days at this place. We had first of all good communication on beforehand, then we arrived and got a real warm welcome. The owners do their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We got tips and recomendations regarding sight seeing, places to go for dinner and even the best parking places in Rouen. We had a good time and recomend this place if you like staying in a nice (quiet) surrounding.
