Location was excellent

Dated, could do with a refresh

What an absolutely excellent hotel - incredibly good value. We had a room overlooking the street on the second floor that was private and spacious. everything was spotlessly clean and the shower was powerful and the room the prefect temperature. There was air conditioning if required. The bed was firm but comfortable. Despite the town being very busy the weekend we travelled, the room was well insulated from outside noise and there was no passing traffic on the stairs. The best part of all was the excellent breakfast - all the ingredients were high quality and fresh. There was plenty of fruit and salad and an excellent range of cheeses and meats. One of the best breakfasts we've had in Europe and constantly refreshed. As others have mentioned, breakfast is in the basement but this in no way detracts from the excellent quality of the food. You may find that you need to wait a while if you arrive at peak time. Reception were friendly and helpful and we gained the impression that this is a well-run hotel that works hard to provide an enjoyable guest experience.

Location, staff, bed (tiny but very confortable). For the price, it is fair Breakfast was fine, but you need to go early otherwise it was too crowded to get a table or food. The room was super small, but the bed very nice, it was a bit noice since it was facing the street. The bathroom was good enough in terms of cleaness and space but I showered at 0730 and there was no hot water in the shower. The location was fantastic, the only set back is that on this street traffic is allow, hence it could be a bit noice at night.ç

The parking system based on "envelops" is not really appropiate, if you want to secure one of the limited slots you have to arrive before checking time and you cannot move the car because the hotel will give the slot to another guest while you are using your car (even though you are willing to pay to have it reserved). This is a set back if you want to do some turism around the area while hosted in this centric hotel
