Wallner - Hotel & Wirt

The room was large and comfortable. Service was excellent. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, and the food was very good. Above all, the breakfast was outstanding.

We booked quite late and could only select a room with a double bed for us and a sleeper couch for our teenage boys. So we were so happy to arrive late at night to a wonderful spacious apartment with proper beds for them. Thank you! Breakfast was great too.

Everything was perfect. If I have to be super picky, I would say there were no plugs near the the beds. But that's minor.

Comfortable bed, quiet location

From the reviews and pictures I was expecting better. The staff that checked me in and served dinner were very friendly and accommodating but that was the highlight The shower in my room leaked badly, and in the morning there was no hot water available in the room. Evening meal was pleasant enough but not exceptional ( as a number of reviews stated) However, at breakfast I arrived to find the restaurant area full and no available seating. No staff to assist, waited 10 minutes then sat in the bar. The breakfast was average, a lot of the items not replenished ( this was 1 hour in to breakfast service). Eventually someone asked if I wanted coffee and eggs. I think they were clearly understaffed and struggling to cope At check out, the woman on the reception was unfriendly, and was obviously just keen for me to be dealt with and gone. I’m hoping she was just having a bad morning! On my three week trip of various European countries this was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive hotel I stayed in, but is near the bottom in terms of value for money.
