Our hosts were wonderful. They went above and beyond to help get our friend to the house when she got off the bus at the wrong stop. Our room was sweet and fit the 3 of us. A big plus was being able to walk to the stone circle near by.

Excellent location for exploring the Lake district. Very friendly hosts, with lots of knowledge about the surrounding area. Top notch breakfasts and lovely bedrooms!

Everything was excellent! Gary and Sue were fantastic and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast cooked by Gary was delicious, and Sue had everything else beautifully prepared, from the fruit and juices to the coffee. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with a duvet that was just the right warmth and lovely pillows. The bathroom was spotless, and the shower was great.
Our only complaint is that we only met their two gorgeous Labradors as we were saying goodbye! They were so lovely and well behaved. We would have loved to meet them sooner!

Gary's excellent knowledge and advice about what to visit and when, given our preferences. This helped us hugely in making the best use of the limited time we had in the Lake District.
The breakfasts were awesome and set you up for the day - fresh fruit as well as a huge English breakfast.
Could do with a clearer view when coming out of the car park. The road wasn't that busy. Not sure there is anything much that can be done for this.
