Great location and close to centre. No parking but large carpark 3 mins away and with cctv. Breakfast was lush and two ladies running it at very polite.
We arrived and went out for tea and stretch h our legs. Came back just after 8pm and wife went up to room. I was going to get two drinks to take to room as night cap, only to be told no beers on tap as cleaning pipes n seemed pleased I could not get a drink as they shut at 9:30. Should have stayed at local Wetherspoon only down road. Disappointed with this as I was willing to spend money in there own bar.

the manager kindly upgraded us, as he had a suit free a very spacious and characterful room. The bed was very comfortable and sheets excellent. We had supper in the bar - and the food was good - the warm roast vegetable salad and sweet potato fries are particularly to be recommended.
Slight mix up and delay at breakfast - but nothing major and quickly sorted out.

Wonderful hotel, really cosy, great atmosphere, very comfortable and beautiful. The breakfast was excellent!
We stayed at The Cross Keys on a market day and unfortunately there was quite a lot of noise from cars early in the morning because of that.

So location good, no parking at site, finished serving food at 5pm, 2 hours before we arrived. Facility closed at 8, no access to bar or facilities. Bedroom good, quirky in old barn rear outside courtyard. Shower very poor hardly any pressure trickle water. Very deep bath with shower in, no grab rails, no bath mat. No staff on site to ask.
