Beautiful village in the dales. Wonderful staff both evening and morning just couldn't do enough for you. Exceptional ckean comfortable room with a great bed and pillows was also offered feather pillows if I preferred. Lovely meal in restaurant, good selection of beers etc at way below average prices. Just a lovely stay in a lovely hotel. Also a secure parking area for motorcycle.

So loved this place but as it was quiet, bar shuts at about 8 unless it's busy surely as a resident it stays open not that I wanted to. Breakfast between 7-8 thats it! seems like you ain't getting a lie in. Bed is lovely but it's a straight double lovely for one don't fancy 2 in it.

First of all the room was spotless,and a nice size, nice bathroom also spotless, all basics great value for the price. Staff were amazing from making sure we could check in at late hours to going out of there way to make me a coffee to takeaway, didn’t get to try the bar and restaurant but again the staff were really helpful and friendly

There wasn’t any thin pillows but thats just personal preference and thats it really

The hotel was in a good location for us to attend a wedding at a local church. The breakfast was cooked to order of good quality and hot. I congratulated the staff on the quality of the breakfast and I heard my message being relayed on to the chef.

The bar and the kitchen was closed at 4pm . No light meals were being served prior to this after check in- only carvery which had to be booked!.. We were made aware that the bar and the kitchen was closed at 4pm after we had booked. A breakfast menu was provided. For hot food the choice was a full English breakfast and that's all. There were juices , water and tea and coffee, however there was only one glass per person. There was no hot water in the sink- only in the electric shower. We left the door open to outside as it was a beautiful day. Right outside our door was a round table where the staff congregated for breaks and to smoke. When I turned the shower on in the morning a member of housekeeping shoute to my daughter" is the shower on". My daughter answered yes and the lafy said that she was drying towels in the dryer and the shower would trip the switch!!
