Sharky Hostel was the perfect accomodation for swimming with the whale sharks! They organise the entire experience for you, and wake you up at 4am to register for your experience. The sign up area would be a MAXIMUM of 100 steps away. They then wake you up again at 5am to get ready for the swim. You are pretty much guaranteed to be on the first boat out to the whale sharks when you stay here. The private bungalows are fairly basic, and don’t really lock, but the whole site feels super safe with the staff staying on site.
The shared toilets didn’t flush very well, and there are only a few of them to service the whole hostel. We didn’t shower here as we only stayed for one night, but they didn’t appear to work very well, so plan accordingly.

If you are coming to Oslob to see whale shark, this is the place to be. Everyone is extremely nice and they are securing the first boat for their guests every morning (wake up time - 4 AM). So it you are on a mission, we highly recommend sharky hostel for a night.
The accommodation is very simple, shared bathrooms and lots of mosquitoes!
