Tokyu Stay Kyoto Sakaiza Shijo Kawaramachi

We were pleasantly surprised with the location of the hotel. It’s in the heart of the shopping area so cars can’t drive right in front of the hotel. It’s full of shopping and restaurants as soon as you step outside. It’s just a few minutes walk from Nishiki Market, so all the hot spots are right there. The washer/dryer combo allowed us to pack fewer clothes for our trip. The best part is the staff. These were the nicest, friendliest staff we encountered during our trip, and we stayed in multiple hotels. We would absolutely stay here again!

Location. Free sake bar. Cordial staff.

Deluxe Twin Room with Extra Bed and Washing Machine (Non-Smoking) The room was clean and compact but comfortable enough for our stay. Although it was the same size as a hotel room we stayed in Tokyo (24 sqm), the layout made it feel a little more spacious. Having a washer-dryer in the room was a big plus, as we could do our laundry at any time of the day. Laundry detergent was also provided, which was a thoughtful and convenient touch. The hotel is surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants, with train stations within walking distance, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. The large window let in plenty of natural light, making a noticeable difference to the overall feel of the room. Although the view wasn’t anything special, the window helped make the space feel brighter and more open. The staff were very friendly and accommodated all of our requests.

They didn’t have in-house luggage transfer facilities.

Location! Rooms , close to everything, staff, great coffee n donut shop below it.
