The room was just as advertised, the bed was super comfy!! Very clean. Close to Presque Isle. The staff were super friendly. 😊 We will definitely stay here again!! I had read some reviews that weren't so great and wasn't sure what to expect..... but this place was perfect!! This place did not disappoint!! ❤️ The pool was open, and it was crystal clear!! Although we didn't use the pool, it looked great!

My family liked everything. It was awesome to have a good restaurant (Ugly Tuna) across from the motel. We walked across the road. Staff were polite and friendly.

I stayed at Lake Erie Lodge for the Erie Marathon on the weekend of September 12-13, 2026. Pros: - Good location, a mile away from Preque Isle State Park and the beach. We walked/ran in the shoulder of the road, there are sporadic sidewalks leading to the state park but none of the crosswalk signs work, there are paved sidewalks leading to the main road. - There's a McDonald's and CVS right next to the hotel, with other restaurants and a gas station about a 4 minute walk away. - Reception staff were kind.

Cons: - Our flight arrived around 1pm and check-in wasn't until 4pm. I called the hotel to ask if they held luggage until check-in and was told no they don't do that. The person I talked to on the phone didn't really have a warm or hospitable tone while speaking and didn't offer any alternatives or apologies for the inconvenience, just a simple "No we don't do that." My friend and I had to take an uber to the bib pick-up at Presque Isle State Park with our suitcases and it started to rain, when it would've been much more convenient to drop our luggage off with reception, walk to the park and back and not have to spend additional money on 2 ubers for a 5min drive each way. - I hadn't read any negative reviews about the hotel's cleanliness until I had already arrived. It wasn't too bad but our mattresses were stained as shown in pics from other reviews. The floors had a constant feeling of dirt and grime, we were only provided with one thin bath towel each and house-keeping did not come by to offer new or extra towels. However, they probably would have provided them if we had asked reception. I didn't expect a luxurious stay just the necessities, the price you pay for what you get is reasonable. Bonus: There are several spiders in the room and the smell of cigarettes when people sit outside and smoke, the walls are thin and we could hear the conversations of the people sitting outside and next door.
